Venue Overview
The 2026 German Nash Hash (GNH) will be staged at the Burg-Jugendherberge Altleiningen, a fully modernized youth hostel set within the historic Altleiningen Castle in the Pfälzer Wald. Originally a medieval fortress, the castle underwent a complete renovation between 1998 and 2000, resulting in a bright, welcoming interior while preserving its Gothic stonework and ambiance. The hostel today features a large dining hall (the “Rittersaal”) for communal meals and meetings, as well as the Burgschänke bistro/bar with a sun-facing terrace overlooking the surrounding wooded valley. Common Areas: Aside from the Rittersaal (used for large gatherings, banquets, and presentations), attendees can socialize in the Burgschänke (open daily from 10:00–22:00), which serves regional snacks, coffee, and a range of cold beverages on its summer terrace. Outside, there’s a lawned area for games, a covered grill hut, a basketball hoop, a football pitch, and a table-tennis setup—perfect for post-run unwind or informal mini-tournaments.
